Gracious heavens. We don’t know what to do with this information. Laugh in defiance? Cry in horror? Shake with rage? All of the above? TVLine spoils that Teen Wolf’s July 15th episode will have “the death of a major character.”

Um, just how major? Scott (Tyler Posey) major? Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) major? Mrs. McCall (Melissa Ponzio) major? Sadly, this information was not provided.

According to Spoilers Guide, Season 3, Episode 7, “Currents” has the following description: As the danger begins to reach closer to Scott, threatening his trusted mentor and boss, Deaton, Kali and the twins go after Derek.

See? Derek is in trouble — and so is Deaton (Seth Gilliam)! It feels too early in the season to lose the Alpha, but the vet’s death would be a huge blow to Scott. Plus, Deaton’s clearly been keeping some secrets. What if they die with him, just when he was starting to tell Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) the truth? Perhaps the darach figured out the pet doc knows all about Druid culture and wants to stop him before Deaton can catch the killer?

Well, our stomachs will be in knots until July 15.
