Dying To Know Stiles’ Real Name? Don’t Hold Your Breath

004

If you’ve got a friend that goes by “Fitzy,” “Sully” or any other derivative of a surname, you may not even realize their birth certificate included a first, too. “Teen Wolf” jokester Stiles is a product of the nickname phenomenon, and three seasons into the show, the full contents of his John Hancock remain a mystery. According to series creator Jeff Davis, that only makes fans want to know more, but much to the chagrin of Shantal Rhodes in the latest “FANtastic Show” below, he says he has no plans to pull back the curtain anytime soon.

“A lot of people think that [Stiles] doesn’t have a first name, or that I don’t know what it is, but I do, and it’s very difficult to pronounce,” Davis tells Shantal and her co-host, Tyler Oakley, adding that he might consider revealing the sidekick’s name when the show eventually ends. For now, though, Stiles’ main concern centers on the return of Scott’s father, as Davis says the federal agent is going to cause some trouble in Beacon Hills when Season 3 comes back in January. “He’s gonna create a big rift in between the friendship [of Scott and Stiles],” he says. “He’s gonna cause a lot of problems for Sheriff Stilinski.”

As for Scott’s new role as True Alpha, fans can expect to see their hero struggle a bit in the new season. “You’re going to see a crisis of confidence at first. I think it’s fun ti play for this kind of story where he suddenly has new power and new responsibility, but he’s still a teenage boy,” Davis explains. “it’s almost as if he’s been promoted too soon to a job he may not be ready for and he’s going to count on all of his friends to help him.
